Greater New Orleans Foundation Names Tyronne Walker Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs

(New Orleans, LA – April 12, 2018) – Today, the Greater New Orleans Foundation (Foundation) announced that Tyronne Walker will join the organization as Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs.  Walker currently serves as Senior Advisor and Communications Director for Mayor Mitch Landrieu and the City of New Orleans.

In his current role, Walker oversees all internal and external communications and community engagement for the City of New Orleans.  Prior to this role, Walker served as the Senior Advisor for Local Government Affairs to Mayor Mitch Landrieu and was a member of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Innovation Delivery Team, where he helped develop and implement NOLA For Life, the City of New Orleans’ Comprehensive Murder Reduction Strategy.  He also delivered solutions to clients in the private sector as Principal of Walker Strategic Solutions, LLC.  Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.

Walker will start as Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs on June 4, 2018.
