Rachel Swan
Program Officer
Rachel Swan, a native New Orleanian, has played a variety of roles at the Foundation since 2015 and currently serves as a Program Officer. In this position, Rachel leads the Foundation’s Education, Health, and Youth Development grantmaking as well as a number of geographically specific Funds including Norco, Algiers, and St. Bernard. Additionally, Rachel supports grantmaking in Nonprofit Leadership and Effectiveness and Disaster Response and Restoration.
Rachel holds a Bachelors of Science in Theatre Studies with Associated Studies in History and Religion from the University of Evansville and worked in professional theater (behind the scenes) in New York and Washington DC for seven years. Returning home, Rachel obtained a Masters of Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans and worked to support a variety of local arts organizations.
