Legal Aid Resources in Disaster Preparedness and Recovery

When disaster strikes many organizations are quick to respond with boots on the ground providing food, water, and shelter to those affected. However, later in the recovery process, we need the suits on the ground!

Legal issues can sometimes bring an individual’s recovery from a disaster to a halt. We’ve partnered with Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) to provide a webinar on available disaster legal services and resources. Join us on Wednesday, July 20th from 12:00-1:00 pm to learn about SLLS’s statewide disaster legal services hotline, the most common legal issues facing survivors post-disaster, and how to access disaster legal services.

This webinar is designed for: nonprofits active in disaster preparation and response, houses of worship active in disaster preparation and response, case managers, social workers, elected officials, constituent services, and other community stakeholders active in responding to disasters, pro bono attorneys, and law clinics

The webinar is free, but registration is required. Please click here to register.
