Partners in Philanthropy

November 14, 2014

An infant is given the opportunity of early health care and goes on to accomplish great things in life. Hope Rises. A young child receives the opportunity of a strong early childhood education and goes on to be a teacher. Hope rises. A fisherman is given the opportunity to start his own business, again, hope rises.

Your support enables us to create opportunities so that hope rises again and again.

Working with the Ford Foundation on a multiple-year initiative that connects people with decent jobs, efficient transit, and affordable housing.

Launching Pitch It! The Innovation Challenge that rewards novel ideas in the human services field.

Partnering with the Urban Institute to offer workshops that provide local stakeholders with national best practices on surface water management.

Forming a successful workforce pilot training program with Ochsner Health System and Delgado Community College resulting in jobs for 50 people in the healthcare field, with more jobs and more jobseekers in the pipeline.

Releasing a report through the Stand Up for Our Children initiative that confirms how ready (or not) our children are for kindergarten.

Collaborating with Mayor Landrieu and the City of New Orleans on NOLA for Life to identify nonprofits working to reduce the city’s murder rate.

Creating plans for a new Center for Philanthropy that will provide a much-needed nonprofit training center and new offices for the Greater New Orleans Foundation on historic Lee Circle.

This is your opportunity to shine.
