Kellie Chavez Greene
Vice President for Programs
Kellie Chavez Greene is Vice President for Programs at the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Kellie’s responsibilities include designing and implementing programs to strengthen the region’s nonprofit organizations and to increase the effectiveness of the Foundation’s grantmaking. This work includes coordinating the Foundation’s learning opportunities, developing resource materials and training curricula, and managing the Foundation’s technical assistance grants.
Prior to joining the Greater New Orleans Foundation, Kellie served as vice president of program for the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations. In that role, Kellie helped LANO expand its capacity building offerings and programming aimed at developing board leaders. She has also served on the staff and as a consultant with foundations across the South including the Rapides Foundation, Foundation for the Mid South, and W.K. Kellogg Foundation. In addition to her role at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, she is adjunct faculty at the University of New Orleans where she teaches a graduate course in Development in Arts Administration.
Kellie graduated with a BA from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and a MFA from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
