Better Coverage for Lower Cost: How the Affordable Care Act Expands Health Coverage to Nonprofits

Did you know that nonprofit employees make up 10% of all employees nationwide?  Many who are unable receive health benefits from their employers.  Nonprofits of all types and sizes stand to gain from the affordable and comprehensive health insurance plans offered through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

We encourage individual nonprofit employees, or a representative able to carry back and disseminate the information for other employees to attend this event.  Because space is limited to 30 participants, we ask that one person per organization attend.

Andrew Yaspan is the Marketplace Outreach and Enrollment Specialist for the New Orleans Health Department.  As a certified application counselor, he educates residents about the health insurance options available to them on the Marketplace and assists with enrolling in coverage.
